Description

The Work consists of the following: Hermitage ACE Center: The project at the existing Hermitage High School and Hermitage ACE Center generally consists of three parts: the New ACE Center, renovations to the main high school building that contain ACE Center spaces, and renovations to the Annex Building to the east. The project includes associated sitework with each part. All parts are considered one project and site. Project is located at 8301 Hungary Spring Rd, Henrico, Virginia 23228. Part 1 - The New Hermitage ACE Center: The project generally consists of a new 72,264 gross square foot, two-story building designed as an expansion of the Hermitage ACE Center program as described in the Drawings and Project Manual. The second floor of the building is unfinished shell space (approx. 31,300 SF) with minimal systems except the centermost section that adjoins the central space. The project site area is located to the south of the existing Hermitage High School building. The buildings structural steel frame rests on concrete foundations. The exterior walls are a combination of veneer / cladding systems on light gauge steel stud assemblies connected to the steel frame. The roofs are low slope membrane roofs. Fenestration includes both aluminum curtainwall and storefront assemblies. Site work includes, but is not limited to grading, utility, storm water, and landscape / hardscape improvements as required to construct the building and pedestrian spaces. The Project is designed to comply with a Silver Certification Level according to the U.S. Green Building Councils Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED for Schools) Rating System. Part 2 - The Existing ACE Annex Renovation: The Hermitage ACE Annex building is located to the rear (east side) of the main Hermitage High School structure. The renovated building area totals approximately 8,945 sq. ft. Work includes, but is not limited to, the selective demolition and renovation / replacement of building architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components and systems along with limited area improvements to adjacent site areas. The attached Greenhouse is not included in the scope of work. Part 3 - The Existing Hermitage ACE Center Renovation: The Hermitage ACE Center is the southern wing of the Hermitage High School structure, although it has a separate entrance. The two-story renovated building area totals approximately 76,675 sq. ft. Work includes, but is not limited to, the selective demolition and renovation / replacement of building architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components and systems along with limited area improvements to site areas and courtyard exterior envelope systems. Highland Springs ACE Center: The project at the existing Highland Springs ACE Center generally consists of two buildings: the renovated ACE Center and a renovation to the existing Hudson Gymnasium to become a trades center. The project includes minor sitework with each part. Both building renovations are considered one project and site. The Scope of Work is in accordance with the Drawings and Project Manual. Project is located at 100 Tech Dr, Highland Springs, Henrico, Virginia, 23075, United States. Part 1 - The renovated Highland Springs ACE Center: The project generally consists of renovations to an approximately 50,142 gross square foot, single story building. The project site area is located to the south of the former Highland Springs High School building. The exterior scope includes, but is not limited to, exterior wall improvements and new windows. The interior scope includes, but is not limited to, selective demolition, new interior finishes, mechanical and electrical systems. Sitework includes, but is not limited to minor grading, utility, storm water, and landscape / hardscape improvements as indicated. The Project is designed to comply with a Silver Certification Level according to the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED for Schools) Rating System. Part 2 - The Existing Hudson Gymnasium Renovation: The project generally consists of interior renovations to approximately 27, 365 gross square feet. The building is located directly adjacent to the west of the Highland Springs ACE Center. Work includes, but is not limited to, the selective demolition and renovation / replacement of building architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components and systems along with limited area improvements to adjacent site areas.
