Description

The Scope of Work shall include:Existing Full Basketball Court Repair (see picture #1 included) 1. Remove the two existing basketball goals and repair any concrete damage to theexisting concrete basketball court. 2. Install two Solid Slam 4872(fixed height)basketball systems with 42” x 72” glassbackboard, a double rimmed hoop, pole pad and back board padwith a 48”minimumoverhangor equivalent. 3. The surface will be cleaned of all dirt and debris. Algae areas will be treated withTrisodium Phosphate and pressure washed, as necessary. Acid will be used to cleanand profile the concrete. 4. All cracks and depressions will be cleaned out and packed with Court Patch Binder orequivalent. 5. Apply one (1) coat of epoxy binder to the bare concrete. 6. Apply first coat ofAcrylic Resurfacer at a rate of 0.12 gallons per square yard. 60 to 80mesh silica to each mix for filling porosity of the concrete and creating a texture for thecourt surface. A second coat will be applied at a rate of 0.07 gallons per square yard. 7. Thesurface will be scraped and blown clean before applying color coats. The first coatwill be applied at a rate of 0.07 gallons per square yard. The surface will be thoroughlyinspected before applying the final coat of color at a rate of 0.07 gallons per square yard.60-80 mesh sand will be added to create an ITF speed rating of 35-38. 8. Lay out and paint (2”) playing lines with textured line paint. Line sealer will be used toensure razor sharp lines. Half-Court Basketball Court (40’ x 46’6”) 1. Site preparation (see attached diagram #2 for general location). 2. Minor site preparation (i.e. grading and shaping to include removing topsoil andfurnishing and installing 2” minimum compactable base material under slab and finegrading in order to match the slab’s finished surface elevations. The final concretesurface shall be elevated a maximum of 1 inch above surrounding grade. The court shallslope downward from south to north at a maximum of 1 percent slope. 3. Form, pour and finish concrete slab on grade using 3,500 psi concrete with a slopeequal or less than 0.01 end to end. The concrete shall be a minimum of 4 inches inthickness. 4. The surface will be flooded and checked for “bird baths”. If any area is holding greaterthan 1/16” (1.5mm) deep (commonly measured using a nickel) after one hour of fullsunlight in temperatures of 70 degrees or above, the area will be patched. 5. Install one Solid Slam 4872(fixed height)basketball systemwith 42” x 72” glassbackboard, a double rimmed hoop, pole pad and backboard padwith a 48” minimumover hangor equivalent. 6.
