Description

Boulder Housing Partners (BHP) is the Housing Authority for the City of Boulder. For more than 55 years, BHP has built, owned, and managed quality affordable homes for low and moderate-income residents, while fostering thriving and sustainable Boulder communities. Boulder Housing Partners strives to make living in Boulder welcoming and affordable for people from a diverse range of backgrounds, regardless of income. Through 1600+ affordable apartments, 1400 rental assistance vouchers, and award-winning resident programming, BHP makes a strong contribution to City Council's goal that 15% of all of Boulder's housing is permanently affordable. We understand that housing is as much about people as it is about place and having a place to call home builds stronger futures and strengthens the fabric of our entire community. BHP is both a development company and a management company. The BHP development team has experience with the development or redevelopment of more than 20 Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) projects. The team works with consultants to entitle, design, build, manage construction, and stabilize projects in the City of Boulder. In addition, the project team has extensive experience with acquisition/rehab LIHTC projects, having renovated more than 450 units in the past five years. We have a pipeline of nearly 800 new units and 300 units of renovation work anticipated over the next 5-8 years. BHP believes in the highest quality of design and sustainability in our projects. We call this the invisibility of affordability meaning BHP housing needs to be just as beautiful as any other housing in the city and blend into the community. We believe that residents served by affordable housing are the same as everyone else, and we approach the design of new or renovated housing without stigma, assumption, or prejudice. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
