An architect has been selected. As of July 25, 2022 this project is in design and the architect anticipates general contractor bidding to commence late fall 2022. Although a firm timeline for construction has not been established, it is not expected to begin before early first quarter 2023. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Richland Community College in Decatur is a one-building facility established in 1988. The Richland Community College Building (JC046) is a 224,903 square foot, 2-story building established in 1988. The scope of work provides for replacing seating, flooring and wall finishes in the theater, upgrading the electrical system and select lighting replacement in the building. Professional Liability Insurance Required: $250,000 Appropriated Amount: $561,487 Project Fee Classification: Group II R The A/E will need to determine if any components of this project are eligible for a utility company or other energy grant/rebate and will be responsible for preparing and submitting the grant application if the project qualifies for the rebate. There are no MBE/WBENBE/PBE goals applied to the A/E team, but participation is encouraged. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
