Main Library Renovation and New Rittman Branch Project

An expansion and renovation of the Main Library, in Wooster, Ohio: expanding the second floor and integrating a new Seaman Corporation FiberTile roof (roof to be provided at no cost pursuant to a settlement agreement), reconfiguring the current Genealogy Room and Adult Department to create an expanded Genealogy space with additional meeting/collaborative spaces, and constructing an area for emerging technology and/or maker space. Reconfiguration of the Circulation Department delivery and patron drive up area and book display/lobby area and a refresh to the Children’s Department with interactive learning spaces will also be included. If possible, the Owner would like the new Seaman Corporation FiberTile roof to be provided by a subcontractor to the selected CMR. The new construction (at a new location) of a branch library in Rittman, Ohio, replacing the current 4,270 square foot building. The new Rittman Branch will include a new building with at least 7,000 square feet, outdoor programming space, and drive-up services as well as possibly incorporating additional space for relocation of the system-wide delivery services from the Main Library to the new Rittman Branch. A geotechnical/topographical survey was completed in January of 2019 at the Rittman location, and will be provided to the selected Design Professional.
