Description | Various Statewide Asbestos Surveys, Bureau of Land Acquisition. This project requires 21% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. The Consultant selected for this project and all subconsultants the prime Consultant will be using are scheduled to attend an initial meeting on October 24, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Central Office, Bureau of Land Acquisition in Springfield. Engineering services are required to perform asbestos surveys of buildings requiring demolition. This work includes review of existing data, a building survey, asbestos sampling, and analysis and preparation of a report, summarizing the location and description of the identified asbestos, quantities, and a preliminary estimate of abatement costs. Work orders under the blanket agreement will be negotiated and authorized by the department on an as-needed basis. For performance of this work, the Consultant will be required to assign the necessary full-time staff described in its Statement of Interest and in many cases to respond in 5-7 days after authorization to proceed on work orders. The estimated engineering fee for this project is $550,000. The completion date for this contract will be 36 months after authorization to proceed. The prime firm must be prequalified in the Special Services (Asbestos Abatement Surveys) category to be considered for this project. Statements of Interest, including resumes of the key people noted above, must be submitted electronically to the Central Bureau of Design and Environment through the Engineering and Prequalification Agreement System (EPAS).
