Description

Sealed bids for the removal of the following improvements on State Project: 82085-2237-14, Federal Project STP-126(16). NOTE: For ALL contracts/tracts, all bricks, building debris, and garbage must be removed. Site must be mowable after demolition. All disturbed areas must be seeded and strawed. Contractor must contact this office BEFORE seeding and strawing. Tracts 57 & 58 will be bid together. Tract Address Improvements 57 3624 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664 REMOVE: 1 story frame 1,374 sq ft residence, all concrete slab and footers, concrete driveway back to location of the power pole. NOTE: DO NOT DAMAGE ANY ASPHALT ALONG MEMORIAL BLVD. Any large bricks, concrete debris or materials must be removed Must backfill walk in crawlspace in order to create a 3:1 mowable slope Site must be mowable after demolition 58 3628 Memorial Blvd, Kingsport, TN 37664 REMOVE: 1 story frame1,376 sq ft residence, all concrete slab and footers. Must backfill basement /walkin crawlspace in order to create a 3:1 mowable slope. This tract must be accessed from Tract 57 ONLY. Any large bricks, concrete debris or materials must be removed Site must be mowable after demolition TRACTS ARE TO BE SEEDED WITH KENTUCKY FESCUE 31, STRAWED, AND FERTILIZED. PRIOR TO SEEDING, PLEASE CONTACT AMY COOPER FOR DEPARTMENT VERIFICATION AT (865) 594-0221. The successful bidder must agree to indemnify and save the State harmless from all losses, damages, and expenses in accordance with the terms of agreement for the removal of the improvements. ALL STRUCTURES that are to be demolished require written 10-day notification to Department of Environment and Conservation, Division of Air Pollution Control, 711 R.S. Gass Boulevard, Nashville, TN 37216 or website. A certificate of insurance for liability must be furnished to the State before the successful bid can be awarded. Any bid placed without a certificate of insurance for liability will not be accepted. The successful bidder shall enter into an agreement to remove said improvements to ground level by Friday, December 16, 2022. The State reserves the right to reject any or all bids and the decision of the Property Management Office will be final. IN ADDITION: Successful bidder will be responsible for compliance with all applicable safeguards, including (but not limited to) placement of all necessary erosion controls during the work to satisfy the contract. ** All materials are to be properly disposed of in a permitted landfill. Payment will not be ordered until manifests/ receipts from a legally permitted landfill are furnished to TDOT. ** Evaluation proceedings will be conducted within the established guidelines regarding equal employment opportunity and nondiscriminatory action based upon the grounds of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, creed, age, and disability.
