Description | DNR Parks and Recreation Division intends to hire a project team to fully execute a Design Build approach for upgrade of the Brimley State Park Campground and Day Use primary electric line and four campground transformers. Interested bidders shall include Phase 500 services necessary to document design and construction options for agency approval, final design for improvements for agency approval and LARA plan review approval, including associated LARA permits for construction along with Phase 700 services necessary to provide the installation of the designed equipment and construction administration. Question Deadline 09/19/2023 at 3:00 PM ET If installation of the transformers is required to occur after the May 15, 2024, substantial completion deadline that generally work will not be allowed during the primary visitor use season between May 15th and September 15 th. Primary electric system analysis and recommendation for upgrades including planning, design, permitting and contract document preparation including construction oversight. Electrical transformer upgrades as required by LARA. All new electric distribution conduit and conductors shall be directionally bored to minimize environmental impact and campsite restoration. Additional Electrical Considerations as identified by the Design Build Team All campground electric system conductors are intended to be aluminum unless market conditions suggest that it is less expensive to use copper or copper provides a defensible value and improved level of reliability and or public service. All conduit and conductors are desired to be installed a minimum of 30 inches below grade |
