Description | As of January 11, 2023, project was awarded to Chatham Civil Contracting, LLC., awarded amount is $164,786.51. After Bids are opened, the Owner shall evaluate them in accordance with the methods and criteria set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all Bids. Unless all Bids are rejected, Award will be made to the lowest responsible Bidder, taking into consideration quality, performance and the time specified in the proposals for the performance of the Contract. A Pre-Bid Meeting will NOT be held. The Project consists of the following major items: 1. Add fill to replace eroded stream bank along with fabric and Class II rip rap to stabilize bank for approximately 150 linear feet. 2. Remove fallen tree within stream. 3. Remove existing sewer manhole, cap existing lines and backfill. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bids from qualified disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) are encouraged. Bidders shall be required to submit with their Bids affidavits of Good Faith Efforts in the recruitment of Minority Businesses. Bidders shall make positive efforts to use small and minority-owned businesses and woman business enterprises. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. Owner is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate.
