Description

The Fall River Housing Authority, Fall River, Massachusetts, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids from General Contractors for completing Phase 2 Apartment Conversions at Cardinal Medeiros Towers, Project MA 6-8; in accordance with the documents prepared by William Starck Architects, Inc., 126 Cove Street, Fall River, Massachusetts The work generally includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Combining of eight (8) Efficiency Apartments, creating four (4) One-Bedroom Apartments on the 13th floor level of the building. Bids are subject to Equal Employment Opportunities, bonding requirements and other bidding and contract requirements as set forth in the construction documents. General Bids and Filed Sub-Bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Deposit that is not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount and made payable to the Fall River Housing Authority This deposit will be refunded for up to two (2) sets for bidders upon return of the sets in good condition within thirty (30) days of receipt of bids. Otherwise the deposit shall be the property of the Awarding Authority. Bidders requesting Contract Documents to be mailed to them shall include a separate check for $ 40.00 per set for UPS Ground (or $65.00 per set for UPS overnight), nonrefundable General Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the work category: General Construction Bids are subject to M.G.L.C. 149 sec. 44A-J and to prevailing wage rates as determined by the U.S. Secretary of Labor **General Bids Due: Thursday, August 11, 2022 at 02:00 PM The Fall River Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding if it be in the public interest to do so.
