Description | This Design/Build seed project consists of modifying an existing space within Building #230 for the future installation of a Government supplied 3D Printer StratasysF900. The 3D printer, moisture and solids analyzer, along with the Vacuum Oven will be provided and installed by the Owner (MALS-13). The project duration is 180 days total, including design. The Buy American requirement along with this project being Prevailing Wage. SSPC QP1 Certification is required for Painting/Coatings. Roofing maybe required depending on HVAC equipment chosen. Amendments #4-6 are applicable to this project. Trades required: Construction Photography, Utility Locating, Final Cleaning, Demolition, Concrete, CMU Masonry, Roofing, Hollow Metal Doors, Overhead Doors, Door Hardware, Drywall & Framing, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Signage, Fire Extinguishers & Cabinets, Plumbing, HVAC, DDC Controls, Testing/Adjusting & Balancing and Electrical. The Range of Magnitude - Between $250,000 and $500,000 Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, Arizona is a military airport serving joint military, commercial, and general aviation facility uses. The purpose of this design build (DB) construction project is to develop a process to modify an existing space to provide support for a suitable conditioned environment for a 3D Printer manufacturing facility. Provide and install the necessary Architectural, HVAC related Mechanical, Electrical equipment in the designated area within the confines of Building 230 on the Marine Corps Air Station Base, Yuma, AZ. Improvements include the construction of a safe environment for the future installation of a new Government Provided 3D Printer StratasysF900 which include: Connect equipment to a grounded facility power source. Do not defeat of bypass the ground lead. Identify and label equipment branch circuit interrupters or circuit breakers. Provide a formal instruction to the end user on how to turn them on and off in case of an emergency. Due to the sensitivity of the 3D Printer, the room shall maintain the recommended range of temperature and humidity at all times.
