Description | As of May 10, 2023, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid. Bid Bond documentation will be received by the Office of Procurement Services at the School Administration Building. The School District will only accept bids from companies that have been placed on its current Pre-Qualified Contractors List as shown at website. All School District Projects require MBE/WBE participation as shown in the specifications. BUDGET FEE 2022-025 G / NG10240 Elevator Modernization at Thomas G. Morton School General Contract $363,453 Free. The Office of Procurement Services reserves the right to reject any and all bids and make the awards to the best interests of the School District of Philadelphia. Design Goals and Objectives: The project intent is to replace the 2,500 lb. four stop, inground hydraulic passenger elevator as well as supporting plumbing, mechanical, and electrical equipment. Without intending to limit or restrict extent of work required under Contract, Work to be performed by the General Contractor includes but is not limited to the following. Remove existing and provide new hydraulic elevator cab, hall fixtures, machine room equipment and accessories, hoist way equipment, and pit equipment. Refer to drawing VT001 for detailed scope of elevator work. Remove existing and provide new hoist way pit sump pump. Provide new split system air conditioning unit, refrigerant piping, condensate piping, controls, and accessories. Seal vent at the top of the hoist way. Remove existing and provide new hoist way pit and control room lighting. Modify existing and provide new power connections to support the elevator, plumbing, and HVAC equipment modifications. Remove existing and provide new smoke detectors at each elevator lobby and at the top of the hoist way.
