Description | Furnish labor, materials and services necessary to cut grass at the Mitchell Court Development located at 2600 W. National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53204, as follows: A representative from your company must check in at the development office before and after work is performed. Before each cutting, remove all trash/debris, such as cans, bottles, and paper, from area to be serviced, including walkways, borders, etc. Always remove debris resulting from work, at the end of each day and dispose of properly. Contractor shall cut grass bi-weekly and intermittently when rain causes the grass to grow over 2", unless instructed otherwise by the Manager, due to the growing season or weather. Grass should be maintained at a height not to exceed 2", but not less than 1". After each grass cutting, trim around walkways, fence line, trees, poles, buildings, remove all growth from fences, trim branches in front of building and remove all debris Grass seed under trees (up-front) trim branches and remove leaves (behind garage and along fence line. No fertilizer or weed and feed should be dispensed on lawn. Upon completion of work, the contractor shall remove all equipment and unused materials, from premises and leave the building in a neat and clean condition. Contractor shall take all steps necessary to protect all property and persons from any damage or injury reulting from this work. This contract will be effective April/May 2022 through November 2022, with the option to extend for an additional four, one-year term(s) upon mutual consent of both parties. Liquidated damages in the amount of $50.00 may be assessed for each day of delay. Contractor shall take all necessary steps to avoid scheduling work at the development site on Saturdays, Sundays, or Holidays, unless directed by the authorized personnel of the Housing Authority. Work shall be performed during normal business hours, Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The Housing Authority reserves the right to: reject any and all quotations; waive informalities, technical defects, and minor irregularities; accept the quotation (if any) deemed most advantageous to and in the best interests of the Housing Authority. Award will be based on price, contractor's availability to provide the specified services when required, and contractor's expertise and past performance. The Purchasing Division may determine the award of a tie bid using a method of chance. Tie bids are defined as all things being equal, such as price, quality, services, etc. |
