Student Center Heat Trace Project

Custom BT HVAC Renick Brothers Construction Company $59,980 Electrical Hey Electric Company, LP $ 13850 Slippery Rock University of the PA State System of Higher Education invites Contractors to download bid documents for this project. The removal and replacement of the existing piping insulation, jacket and electric heat tracing for the existing closed-circuit coolers. Electrical work consists of providing a new emergency power panel and power to heat trace circuits. Work for the Project shall be accomplished by Separate Prime Contractors according to Pennsylvania statute. The Lead Prime Contractor shall be the Mechanical Contractor. Specific instructions for coordination and responsibilities of the Lead Prime Contractor are contained in Section 01 31 00, Project Management and Coordination, and elsewhere throughout the Contract Documents. Work included in each Separate Prime Contract shall include, but not be limited to, the following: A. HVAC Construction (UP-484.2): Responsible for the removal and replacement of existing piping insulation, jacket and electric heat tracing for existing piping. B. Electrical Construction (UP-484.4) is responsible for providing a new normal/emergency electrical panel and power wiring to the new electric heat trace cables indicated on the drawings.
