Description | The purpose of this project is to provide paving around a cargo container tilter that will soon be installed on America's Central Port property. Any contractor wishing to submit a Bid Proposal for this project will be required to submit sufficient qualifications indicating that they have the experience and capacity to complete this Project in compliance with appropriate specifications and requirements. No Pre-Bid Conference has been scheduled for this project. Please contact Tom Miller if you have any questions prior to submitting your proposal. This Request for Proposals is for a Design/Build team who will be responsible for helping to develop and execute a plan to place as much pavement around a new cargo container tilter that will be installed on our property shortly. This project has a somewhat flexible scope which is why we are requesting proposal for a design/build contract. Any of the below points may be changed during the planning phase, but these will be used for an even comparison for deciding on a team. The proposed project has a budget of up to $218,000.00 and is expected to include the following work: o Excavation. Spoils can be left on site; o Install a drive way to the cargo container tilter; o Install as much pavement around the tilter as possible. Exact layout is unknown at this point; o All pavement will consist of approximately 8' rock base and 10" of concrete; o Install a new electrical service to power the cargo container tilter; o Install basic site lighting; o All work to be complete my June 30, 2022 due to funding restrictions The Owner is following a qualifications-based selection process for this project. Following a receipt of proposals, a thorough review of all received Proposal's will be reviewed. The Port review team will utilize a numerical evaluation process to rank the proposals received. The team that scores the highest on the evaluation criteria will be selected to move forward with the project. After selecting the firm or team best fitting the Project's needs, the firm or team may be asked to submit a more detailed fee proposal, general conditions and budget to perform the work. If the fee is in line or can be brought in line with the Port's available funding, a contract for services will be offered. Each Proposal will be assessed on the following: a. Estimated Square Footage 40% Weight b. Experience of Team 30% Weight c. Ability to Meet Project Deadlines 30% Weight |
