Engineering Professional Services

Professional engineering services for a contract period of five (5) years. Work will primarily be related to Department of Waste Renewables projects including, but not limited to landfill / civil design services; monitoring systems design and assistance, construction services, environmental assistance, and emergency event response. 1. Landfill / Civil Design Services ($30,000) – including but not limited to: Landfill Design – (For active, closed, or planned future landfill) Locational criteria setbacks and exemptions (private wells, surface waters, parks, highways, airports, etc.) Geotechnical investigations (soil boring, monitoring well, and piezometers) Wetland delineations Alternative liner/final cover Perimeter berm, base grade, leachate collection system, and final grades Leachate collection, management, disposal, and recirculation Surface water management, including diversion berms, downslope flumes, perimeter ditches, sedimentation basins, and outlet structures Gas extraction systems, including well depth and spacing, and header and lateral layout Compost site layout, pad design, and surface water management Coordination / correspondence with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) Revisions and updates tCAD drawings for the site Operational efficiency studies or reviews Civil Design – (Primarily for planned future landfill) Master planning Street layout and grading Utility design and layout Storm water management and design Traffic flow and parking lot design Driveway design and permitting Facility/building layout Coordination/permitting with the City of Madison and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WDOT)
