Description | Fabrication/Weld Shop Building: install properly fitted high temperature boots as needed on round penetrations (specific to hot gas vents) through metal roofing system. Replace flashing on 4” Dia. B-Vent and replace rain cap on the Inferred Heater Exhaust just above the Small Metal Lathe at the East end of the Machine Shop. Work to include outline below. Access work area via exterior ladder. 1. Set up safety per OSHA standards - swivel metal roof anchors. 2. Remove coating along seams and panels on all the roof vents as needed, near penetrations with wire wheel. Treat with rust inhibitor/red oxide primer and galvanizing spray. 3. Remove existing pipe boot at active leak area. Furnish and install new patch panel (24 Ga Galvalume R Panel WPRP, Weathered Zinc) over existing damaged panel and seal with butyl weathertight. Furnish and install new pipe boot per manufacturer's specifications. 4. Thoroughly inspect roof for missing, damaged or backed out fasteners as necessary. 5. Clean up and remove all job-related material, trash and debris. Boot Flashing Material: All Boot Flashing for round duct hot gas vents shall be able to withstand 437 Deg. F continuous. All Fasteners will be stainless steel. 920 Hypo Chlorite Building: Gutter repair is needed on this building to include the following. 1. Access work area via aerial work platform. 2. Set up safety per OSHA guidelines. 3. Clean and inspect gutters on building. 4. Remove existing fasteners at each gutter lap, end cap and downspout drop. Remove existing sealant and prepare surface for new sealant. 5. Install permaseal gutter sealant at each lap, end cap and downspout drop. Install new fasteners. Add supplementary gutter hangers or fasteners as necessary to prevent sagging |
