Description

The Goal of the program is to provide GCRTA customers with a last/first mile connection from GCRTA’s system to their ultimate place of employment. While the program is targeted in industrial park type settings where high numbers of employers and employees are located but are not directly on transit lines, it has also has the potential used to serve other markets where first/last mile rides would benefit a community. The goal of RTA Connect Works is provide GCRTA customers with a ride from an RTA stop to and from places of employment (destination) at the beginning and end of the work shift. In accordance with GCRTA’s Memorandum of Understanding with the ATU, the proposed service plan shall not duplicate any existing fixed route services. GCRTA is asking applicants to design and operate their own transit plan. The applicant’s transit plan will link to GCRTA’s network and brings employees to and from the GCRTA facility (rapid station, transit center, Park-n-ride Lot, bus stop) to their employment location. RTA is not dictating a route, a level of service, or a cost.
