Description | contract includes milling and resurfacing of Pine Street from the shared municipal border with the City of Clifton to Summer Street, Liberty Street from Linden Street to Howe Avenue, Gregory Avenue from Passaic Avenue to Pennington Avenue, Garden Street from Main Avenue to Grove Street, and Columbia Avenue from Passaic Street to Aspen Street, including installation and/or replacement of curbs, sidewalks, driveways, ADA curb ramps, curb pieces, inlets, and other incidentals. Principal items of work in the project include: 18,955 SY HMA Milling, 3" or less 2,350 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5 M 64 Surface Course 1,055 SY Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick 1,880 LF 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 days of notice to proceeed. Proposals must be made on the standard proposal form provided, accompanied by a Proposal Guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond from a Surety/Bonding Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, a Certified Check, or Cashier's Check in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount bid, but not in excess of $20,000.00 to ensure the signing of the contract. Bidder shall also submit with the bid a Certificate of Surety from a Surety Company licensed and qualified to do business in the State of New Jersey, pursuant to Federal and/or State law as a Surety, stating that it will provide the contractor with a Performance Bond of the total price bid. Successful Contractor will be required to submit a Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond The City of Passaic is only responsible for forwarding addendums or clarifications to those prospective bidders who obtained specifications directly from the City of Passaic, Division of Purchasing, or to those who have put the City of Passaic Division of Purchasing on notice as having received the specification. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. The City Council has the right to consider bids for sixty (60) days after their receipt.
