Description

As of November 29, 2022, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. High School/Junior High Addition & Renovations The Kingston K-14 School District will receive Bids for the above referenced project. The Scope of Work for the project consists of a 19,876 sf PEMB addition that will house a new performance gymnasium with mezzanine and related support spaces such as locker rooms, concessions and restrooms. The addition will also incorporate new Vocal and Band classrooms and associated practice rooms. The PEMB addition will be connected to the existing classroom portion of the building by a 1,272 sf masonry addition that will house a relocated egress stair from the existing building. Renovation scope includes new public and staff restrooms in existing building Area A as well as new Art Classrooms and associated spaces, and then a revised Kitchen and Serving area off the existing cafeteria in Area C. Bids must be on a Lump Sum basis. Bid Security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid must accom- pany each Bid in accord with the In- structions to Bidders. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or draft certified or issued by a state or national bank in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the total amount of the Bid payable to Kingston K-14 School District, or in lieu thereof, the Bidder may furnish a Bid Bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Such bond shall be issued by a surety authorized to do business in the State of Missouri and made payable to Kingston K-14 School District as a guarantee that such Bidder will enter into a Contract with the Owner for the Work described in the Bid and furnish bond as specified. A Performance Bond and a Material and Labor Payment Bond in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Bid may be required to be furnished by the successful Bidder at the discretion of the School District. All Bidders are subject to and must comply with applicable state and federal anti-discrimination laws. All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the most current State of Missouri, Division of Labor Standards, Section 114, Washington County, Wage Order No.29 in accordance with Section 290. 262 CUM. Supp. RSMo (2000). All Contractors and Subcontractors shall conform to the Missouri Prevailing Wage Law Sections 290.550 to 290.580 Public Works During Excessive Unemployment, if such provision applies to this Project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding. Bids will be reviewed by the school district and their consultants following the reading of bids. No bids shall be withdrawn after the opening of bids, without consent of the Board of Education, for a period of thirty (30) days after the schedule time of closing bids.
