Description

THIS IS A SYNOPSIS OF PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION. IT IS NOT A SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). THIS NOTICE WILL BE POSTED FOR A MINIMUM OF 15 CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO POSTING OF THE SOLICITATION. The Centers for Disease Contract & Prevention (CDC) intends to make a single award of a firm fixed price construction contract for floorcovering replacement at select buildings on the Chamblee and Roybal campuses located in Atlanta, Georgia. The work is to be accomplished in occupied spaces and requires specialized experience with the lifting of existing fully assembled furniture and cubicles. For the complete requirements of the project, see the solicitation posting (to be issued at a later date). Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The period of performance for this project has been established as 730 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 238330 (Flooring Contractors), with a small business size standard of $19.0 million. This is a 100% total small business set aside. The solicitation will be made available on or about May 15, 2023 and will be distributed solely through the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://sam.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Please note all contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. If you have questions about SAM, Government procurements in general, or need assistance in the preparation of your proposal, a local Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) may be able to help. The PTAC was authorized by Congress in 1985 to expand the number of businesses capable of participating in the Government marketplace.
