Vegetative Debris Disposal

Vegetative Debris Disposal Contractor is responsible for the disposal of stockpiled brush/vegetation by means of grinding or incinerating using an approved air curtain. Air Curtain Guidelines provided in Exhibit A below. The Vegetative Debris is stockpiled at 1099 York Road in the City of Mt. Juliet. Contractor is responsible for obtaining a burn permit from the Mt. Juliet Fire Department, if applicable. Contractor is responsible for removing all the grindings from the work site and disposed of at the contractor's choice of location. All costs associated with removal and disposal shall be included in the unit bid price per cubic yard. The work is to be bid per cubic yard of the material prior to grinding or burning. That price should also include any costs to remove the grindings from the work site. Before any work begins, both the contractor and a representative from Public Works will agree on the amount of material that is to be disposed of. Bids will be for a one-year period: october 1, 2023 - september 30, 2024 The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, combinations of items, or lot(s), and to waive defects or minor informalities.
