Powder Mill Tank Rehabilitation

Work consists of the removal of existing coatings and application of new coating systems on the interior and exterior of the tank, metal repairs within the interior and exterior of the tank, and repairs/modifications to comply with the current codes and regulations. The work is located at 28 Continental Road, Morris Plains, NJ 07950. The tank is a 500,000-gallon toro-ellipsoidal tank, 56 feet in diameter, and 160 feet high. All metal repairs shall be done prior to the preparation of interior painting. The interior painting shall be completed in Fall 2020, and the exterior painting shall be completed by Spring 2021. Tank shall be placed in service after the interior painting and will be taken offline again for exterior painting. Rehabilitation of the tank must be completed and returned to service no later than May 15, 2021.
