Construction of 6-inch PVC Water Main and associated Appurtenances, Mescalero Apache Reservation, New Mexico.

The Department of Health and Human Services, Indian Health Service (IHS) anticipates an acquisition for the construction of 6-inch PVC water main and associated appurtenances, new pumphouse piping plumbing on the Mescalero Apache Reservation in New Mexico. The Contractor will be required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, work facilities, supervisory efforts, testing and all other necessary incidentals for the South Tularosa Well Connection and Orosco Drive Water Main Extension. Work included under this contract will be in Otero County, New Mexico. The work required for the South Tularosa Well Connection includes, but is not limited to, the following: Mobilize to site. Construct approximately 5,079 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, install new water main connections, valves, hydrants, and necessary appurtenances. Install new plumbing tree with valves and meters, as specified, in the existing North (lower) pumphouse. Install new electrical components within the existing pumphouse. Install new controls within the existing pumphouse. Install new chlorination system within the existing pumphouse. Installation of new Pressure Reducing valve vaults and demolition of existing pressure reducing valve vaults. Conduct training and startup with the Utility Operations staff. Submit all required testing, documentation, O&M manuals, certifications, and as-built drawings. Demobilize and clean-up site. The work required for the Orosco Drive Water Main Extension includes, but is not limited to, the following: Mobilize to site. Construct approximately 2,790 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water main, install new water main connections, valves, hydrants, and necessary appurtenances. Install approximately 3 new service connections, including water main taps, service saddles, corporation stops, approximately 803 linear feet of 1.5-inch PE water service line, approximately 90 linear feet of 1-inch PE water service line, and 3 new water meters with can. Rock excavation is anticipated for this site, and estimated quantities have been provided in the bid schedule. Conduct training and startup with the Utility Operations staff. Submit all required testing, documentation, O&M manuals, certifications, and as-built drawings. Demobilize and clean-up site.
