Description

In general the work consists of replacing the deaerator heater and storage tank at the Mendota Mental Health Institute central heating plant with a new unit. Selective demolition of the roof above the deaerator will allow the existing unit to be removed and the new unit to be brought onto the second floor of the building. Existing steam and feedwater piping will be replaced as necessary. The building envelope will be restored after the new unit is brought into the plant. Work will also include replacement of the original continuous blowdown flash tank, level control, safety valve, level indication, etc.
