Description | **As of May 2, 2023, project was awarded to Metro Pumping Systems but awarded amount is not available.** Fiddler's Creek Irrigation Pump Station #2 Replacement and Modifications The work for which these proposals/bids are submitted for the District's Irrigation Pump Station #2 Replacement and Modifications consists of providing labor, materials, and equipment for modifications to existing pump house #2 for the construction and installation of a complete and fully operational, automatic, prefabricated pump station for the Fiddler's Creek Community. All work performed shall be in accordance with the plans, specifications and Contract Documents. The Engineer will not respond to RFI's submitted after that date and time. Depending upon the nature of the information requested, an addendum may or may not be provided. Sealed envelopes containing bids will be accepted at Hole Montes, Inc. office until the following submittal deadline: 11:30 A.M., LOCAL TIME, on the 21st day of March 2023; and shall be marked or endorsed Fiddler's Creek Community Development District #2 Fiddler's Creek Irrigation Pump Station #2 Replacement and Modifications. Bids delivered after the submittal deadline stated above will not be opened or considered. Please note that facsimile, email, or bids not enclosed in a sealed envelope and not made on the Proposal Form included in the Contract Documents will not be opened or considered. Any uncertainty regarding the time a bid is received will be resolved against the bidder. Each proposal bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the maximum Base Bid amount to be retained as liquidated damages in the event the successful Bidder fails to execute the Agreement and file the required bonds and insurance within 15 days after his proposal is accepted. Each bid shall be submitted in duplicate originals in one sealed envelope with the name and address of the bidder and the bid date and time on the outside along with the following information: FIDDLER'S CREEK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT #2 FIDDLER'S CREEK IRRIGATION PUMP STATION #2 REPLACEMENT AND MODIFICATIONS The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for a Certificate of Insurance, a Performance and Payment Bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the value of the contract (as described in the Bid Documents), with a surety acceptable to the District, and in accordance with Section 255.05, Florida Statutes, and otherwise meet the other requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. All bid bonds, contract bonds, insurance contracts and Certificates of Insurance shall be either executed by or countersigned by a licensed resident agent of the surety or insurance company having his place of business in the State of Florida, and in all ways complying with the insurance laws of the State of Florida. Further, the said surety or insurance company shall be duly licensed and qualified to do business in the State of Florida. In order to perform public work, the successful Bidder shall, as applicable, hold or obtain such Contractors' and Business Licenses as required by State and local laws. All bidders must have demonstrated recent experience on similar projects. The Bidder shall be required to submit detailed project experience information with the bid. Failure to comply with the minimum required experience and staffing may result in disqualification of the bid. Before a Contract will be awarded for the Work, the DISTRICT will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of any Bidder to perform the work specified under this Contract. Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria included in the bid documents. The District reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, make modifications to the work, award the contract in whole or in part with or without cause, and waive minor or technical irregularities in any proposal, as it deems appropriate, and if the District determines in its discretion that it is in the District's best interests to do so. Estimated budget is greater than $500,000. |
