FWRC Secondary Treatment Expansion Preloading

Construction of an earthen embankment utilizing approximately 300,000 cubic yards of soil from two separate borrow sites located at the Flamingo Water Reclamation Center The soil is to remain in place and the site is to be monitored for approximately 12 months. Dust control is to be maintained at all work sites during construction and duration of preloading. For safety assurance, 2 flagpersons shall be utilized at the Rochelle Ave crossing for Borrow Site 1. An additional 2 flagpersons shall be used as directed by the owner, when construction activities are active at Borrow Site 2. Once consolidation is sufficient, the soil will be moved back to the borrow pits and the borrow pits will be restored. Rerouting of a new 750 foot electrical ductbank located at the west end of the preloading site.
