Description

Question Deadline 08/14/2023 at 2:00 PM PT 20-133 HMC # 3439-005 100 The preparation of work under this contract covers materials that contain lead or lead based paint: including but not limited to, walls, door components, support beams, support posts, ceramic tile, structural steel, etc If upon review of the plans and/or specifications the bidder finds discrepancies in the plans and/or specifications or should he be in doubt as to the meaning or intent of any part thereof, he shall request clarification from the William S Hart Union High School District Representative. Discrepancies with regard to conflicts between the Contract Documents and applicable Federal, State or Local regulations or requirements shall be included therein. All surfaces that are only prepped and not abated during site preparation shall be primed or encapsulated using a William S Hart Union High School District approved primer or encapsulant for each type of surface or substrate that has been disturbed (wood, metal, stucco etc). All components that tested positive for the presence of lead at or above the HUD action level and any similar untested components should be considered lead-laden. Any maintenance or repair activities on these components should be performed in an abatement/containment environment as required by Cal/OSHA Construction and Safety Orders, Lead Section 1532.1. If any amount of lead is detected on a component that will be disturbed (trigger task), the contractor must perform exposure monitoring and interim protection for his workers according to Title 8 Construction and Safety Orders, to determine the workers skill and/or certification required to perform the task required for this project Lead Related Work: http://www.aaalead.com Page 4 of 17 AAA Lead Consultants and Inspections 1307 West Sixth St, #134.
