Description

**As of Aug 2, 2022, project was awarded to but awarded amount is not available.** The City of Macedonia, Ohio to enter into a contract to provide for procurement and instillation of flooring at the recreation center as outlined in this Invitation for Bids and known as the "Macedonia Recreation Flooring Project." The City shall not be responsible, and no consideration shall be given, for delays in delivery of a proposal resulting from the means or methods of delivery selected by the bidder. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Macedonia Recreation Flooring Project." Proposals may not be submitted by e-mail or facsimile. Timely received bids will be publicly opened and read by the Parks and Recreation Director immediately after bid closing at noon on June 24, 2022, at the above-described location. Each bid must contain the full name or names of the party or parties making the same, with an affidavit as to interested parties and in the case of a corporation not chartered in Ohio, with a proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code or a certified check or cashier's check equal to of the amount bid, payable to the City of Macedonia. The bid security in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety and deemed acceptable by the City. The Bid Guaranty will be held, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, to guarantee any Contract will be entered into in accordance with R.C. 153.54. The price of material and labor bid for shall be separately stated. Bidders must use the utilize the information provided and quote based on square footage listed. No phone calls or drop-in visits will be accepted; rather, a meeting will be held at Macedonia Recreation Center for all interested bidders on Friday, June 17 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. for facility viewing and questions. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, The Governor's Executive Order of 1972, and Governor's Executive Order 84-9 shall be required. Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond or check, as the case may be, will be held as a guarantee that, if the Bid Proposal is accepted, a Contract will be entered into between the bidder and the City of Macedonia, and the performance of such Contract secured by said check or bond. In default thereof said bond or check, and the amount represented thereby, shall be forfeited to the City of Macedonia as liquidated damages. Council of the City of Macedonia reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept any bid which it deems most favorable to the City.
