Please obtain documents through the means listed in the invitation to bid.*" Est $ Value: $50M - $100M Description of Goods or Services to Be Bid: The Metropolitan Transportation Authority ("MTA") and New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA), acting by and through the MTA Construction and Development Company ("MTA C&D"), will be issuing an Invitation for Bid ("IFB") seeking entities to provide personnel, equipment, and material to construct an underground power substation for the 8th Avenue (A/C/E) Line on West 28th Street. This project will provide additional power capacity to increase the number of trains per hour in the future and improve power supply reliability along 8th Avenue. Reliable power supply will also be critical to the success of Communications-based Train Control (CBTC), currently being installed on the 8 Avenue Line between 59th Street and High Street in Brooklyn. Respondents with current contracts to perform work on MTA projects must be in good standing and satisfactorily progressing the Work on such contracts to be deemed qualified to participate in the solicitation for the Contract.
