Description | General Contractor prequalification packages from interested parties for the 63rd Water Treatment Facility (WTF) Campus Electrical and High Service Pump Station. The Work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1) Raw Water Strainer Vault. a) Blasting and recoating of piping and equipment. b) Replacement of valves and actuators. c) Replacement of the HVAC fan and control panel. d) Replacement of the vault insulation. 2) Raw Water Pump Station: a) Demolition and replacement of major electrical equipment. b) New portable, trailer-mounted generator. c) Blasting and recoating piping and equipment. d) Demolition and replacement of suction valves and flexible connections. e) Demolition and replacement of check valve on combined outlet. f) Demolition and replacement of air compressors and receiver tank. g) Replacement of discharge butterfly valves and pneumatic actuators. h) Replacement of the roof. i) Replacement of louvers and exhaust fans. 3) High Service Pump Station: a) Demolition and replacement of the High Service Pumps and associated electrical equipment. b) Major structural renovations. c) Demolition and replacement of suction and discharge, wash water supply, house water supply, and fire protection piping. d) Demolition and replacement of masonry along the south wall and installation of new overhead doors and man-doors. e) Provide and install a new bridge crane. f) Provide and install a new surge tank. g) Demolition and replacement of MCC 2. h) HVAC improvements for the Filter Building Electrical Room. i) Replacement of unit heaters. j) Demolition of air handling unit. k) Blasting and recoating of the Combined Filter Effluent piping. l) Provide and install new water quality sampling panels for the filter inlet, combined filter effluent, and finished water systems. 4) Manhole 5: a) Demolition and replacement of the existing pumps, piping, valves, and appurtenances. b) Demolition and replacement of the concrete vault lid. 5) Washwater Recovery Pump Station: a) Modifications to the roof struts and deck. b) Provide and install new roof hatches. c) Replacement of the roof. d) Demolition and replacement of Washwater Recovery Pump No. 1 VFD. e) Pull, refurbish, reinstall, and recommission Washwater Recovery Pump No. 1. f) Demolition and replacement of washwater recovery pump air release valves. g) Demolition and replacement of lighting. h) Demolition of the existing monorail, supports, and appurtenances. i) Provide and install a new access stairway to the roof. j) Replacement of damaged glass block with new windows. k) Demolition and replacement of the existing double door. l) Mitigation of undermining of the concrete stairs at the entrance to the pump station. 6) Pretreatment Building: a) Pull, refurbish, reinstall, and recommission DAF Recycle Pump No. 2. b) Demolition and replacement of DAF Recycle Pump No. 1 VFD. 7) Chlorine Contact Basin: a) Provide and install new anti-vortex grating. b) Blast and recoat all piping, valves, and appurtenances in the valve vault. c) Provide and install new sample lines for Combined Filter Effluent and Finished Water sampling. d) Rehabilitation of concrete per the included allowance. 8) Primary Power: a) Provide and install new ductbank and primary power feed from Xcel pole on 63rd Street to the new Primary Switchgear. b) Provide and install new pad-mounted switchgear. c) Provide and install new 2,000 kVA primary transformer. 9) Standby Power: a) Provide and install new 1,750 kVA generator. 10) Primary Switchgear: a) Refurbish and reconfigure Primary Switchgear. b) Provide and install new ladder in vault. 11) Power Loop: a) Provide and install new ductbank and conductors to complete the power loop between PC-1 and PC-4. b) Demolish and replace conductor from Primary Switchgear to PC-4. c) Reconfigure PC-1 to allow for completion of the power loop. 12) Sitewide I&C Improvements: a) Fiber optic improvements. b) Demolish and replace UPS at all PLC locations. c) Miscellaneous monitoring and controls improvements. 13) Civil/Yard Piping Improvements: a) Pave the existing gravel road along the west side of the main campus. b) Pave a new road connecting the admin building parking lot to the pretreatment building parking lot. c) Yard piping improvements south of the High Service Pump Station. d) Replace 42-inch raw water valve and actuator west of the Pretreatment Building. |
