Description

The last day for questions is 5:00 PM E.T. on June 16, 2022. For more information, contact Stacy Boney, Kimley-Horn and Associates at (352) 438-3000. All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering and installing all materials, equipment and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: The Pelican Bay WWTP is located at 9826 W Arms Dr, Crystal River, FL 34429. The base bid consists of the demolition of the Pelican Bay WWTP, construction of approximately 185 LF of 4 force main, 20 LF of 8 gravity sewer, a 4 x2 reducer, two 4 plug valves, a prefabricated lift station, and modifications to an existing lift station. The bid also includes construction stakeout, erosion and siltation control, maintenance of traffic, and record drawings. Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. BID SECURITY: A 5% bid security will be required for this project. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. All Payment and Performance Bonds shall be secured from or countersigned by an agency or surety company recognized in good standing and authorized to do business in the State of Florida. The City of Crystal River reserves the right to waive formalities, waive any technical defects, reject any and all bids, and accept any bid which represents the lowest and best offer to the City.
