Description

Denver Water utilizes the Work in support of various Denver Water projects to remove loosened material and/or liquids from Work areas such as vaults, manholes, valves, stop boxes, open excavation sites, and other related structures. Other uses include potholing ahead of major pipeline projects to correctly mark and locate all utility interference, cleaning water, mud, and debris resulting from main breaks, potholing and digging around trees, and vacuuming excavation sites. The waste materials resulting from the Work can and may be hazardous, as such they must be disposed of at an appropriate waste facility according to all local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations. Denver Water is currently implementing the Lead Service Line Replacement Program to eliminate lead service lines from customer’s homes. There is an opportunity for the Contractor to submit a separate Proposal to perform potholing services at various multi-family and single-family homes, daycares, schools, etc. (“Project Sites”) to identify whether the Project Sites have a lead service line.
