Description

Question Deadline 09/29/2022 at 4:00 PM ET All questions related to the Project shall be submitted by email to Bevis Pigott at bpigott@hazenandsawyer.com. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 epidemic, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority has limited administration staff working at this time. In order to ensure that all bid packages are received by the due date and time, Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority requires all bid packages to be hand-delivered on October 10, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM EDT or on October 11, 2022 from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM EDT The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following items Demolish media and underdrain system in six (6) existing filters. Install stainless steel underdrain system into six filters. Install new media into the six (6) filters. The time allowed for Substantial Completion is 410 consecutive calendar days, and the time allowed for final completion and readiness for final payment is 440 consecutive calendar days from the date of commencement. THE WORK will be awarded in one Contract. Only Bids including properly pre-qualified Contractors meeting the contract requirements will be considered for award of the Contract. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond with good and sufficient surety or sureties approved by the Owner for faithful acceptance of the contract, payable to, in favor of, and for the protection of the Owner in an amount equivalent to five percent of the total amount payable by the terms of the contract or, in lieu thereof, a certified check, cashiers check, or cash in equal amount. The Bid Bond shall be prepared on the Bid Bond form attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as Surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Georgia and listed in the latest issue of U.S. Treasury Circular 570. Each Bid must also be accompanied by a notarized Non-Collusion Affidavit of Bidder, Contractors License Certification, Affidavit Verifying Status for Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority Public Benefit Application, and Security and Immigration Compliance Act Certification. Out-of-state corporations and other entities must submit evidence of authority to conduct business in Georgia as an out-of-state entity. Each Bidder must be a State of Georgia licensed Utility Contractor and General Contractor at the time of the Bid. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any Bidder in the preparation of its Bid in response to this Advertisement for Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond, Certification of Contractors Attorney, and Contractors Affidavit and Agreement with the executed Agreement meeting the requirements of the Contract Documents and executed on the forms attached to the Agreement. The successful Bidder will also be required to furnish the Pre-Construction Oath pursuant to O.C.G.A. 36-91-21 from every person who procures the Agreement. The successful Bidder shall also provide an executed Subcontractor Affidavit for each subcontractor working on the Project, using the form attached to the Agreement; Subcontractor Affidavits shall be submitted to the Cobb County-Marietta Water Authority as each subcontractor is brought under contract during execution of the Project. The terms and time for payment are set forth in the Agreement. All Bids will remain subject to acceptance for ninety (90) days after the day of the Bid opening, but Owner may, in its sole discretion, release any Bid and return the Bid security prior to that date.
