Description

As of October 20, 2022, construction commenced in June, 2022. A timeline for completion has not been confirmed. Clarification Deadline 2/24/2022 12:00 Pm A bid bond by acceptable surety or a certified check made payable to Heidelberg Township in the amount of 5% of the maximum bid must be provided by each bidder with their bid only for Contract No. 1 and Contract No. 2. The successful bidder, when awarded a contract, shall furnish Performance and Payment Bonds (with suitable surety), as specified in the Contract. Notice is hereby given to bidders that only Contract No. 1 is subject to the provisions of the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442, P.L. 987), as amended. All proposals must be submitted online via PennBid and include documents outlined within the specifications. Heidelberg Township reserves the right to accept any bid or reject any or all bids. Contractor shall be responsible for temporary traffic control in accordance with PennDOT Publication 213. The cost thereof along with the cost of mobilization shall be incorporated into each bid item, as required. No separate payment will be made. The Township will not assist Contractor with temporary traffic control. Appropriate sections of the roadway may be closed to through traffic during work hours, if prior approval is obtained from the Township, but must be reopened at the end of each work day. Local traffic must be accommodated. The Contractor will be responsible for notifying the Township of proposed work at least one (1) week in advance of starting construction. Door hangers are to be provided to the Township for placement by Township Staff. *Information regarding subcontractor bidding has not been disclosed to the content management team at this time.
