Description | This Project consists of replacing approximately 48,000 ties, surfacing of approximately 85 miles of track and placing approximately 48,000 tons of ballast. The Contractor will be required to perform the following scopes as more fully described in the Contract Drawings and Special Provisions Notification of Intent to Award March 22, 2023 Anticipated Award Date April 05, 2023 Requests for Clarification/Solicitation Protest Due Date February 23, 2023, by 5:00 p.m This Project is funded by a combination of Port funds and Federal Grant funds. Project Work and contracting must be carried out in compliance with all U.S. Department of Transportation Maritime Administration funding requirements. The Port, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all Bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that for any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit Bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. Bidders acknowledge and agree that, if awarded the Contract, no funds under the Contract may fund the use of any product or service of a foreign country during the period in which such foreign country is listed by the United States Trade Representative as denying fair and equitable market opportunities for products and suppliers of the United States in procurement and construction. Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Port in an amount of ten percent (10%) of Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a cashier's check or certified check; irrevocable letter of credit issued by an insured institution as defined in ORS 706.008; or a Bid Bond as provided in the Contract Documents. The Successful Bidder, at its own expense, shall obtain and furnish to the Port a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond for the full amount of the Contract price, in a form acceptable to Port. Acceptable forms for the Payment and Performance Bonds are included as Exhibits to the Contract. |
