Description | For furnishing all labor, material, and equipment necessary for the construction of the project known as Proposed Emergency Generators and Rehabilitation of Lift Stations 1, 2, & 3. The project is located at 3609 1/2 S. Sam Houston Parkway E., 4030 1/2 Brunswick Crossing Lane, and 14041 1/2 Sandstone Bend Drive, all of which are located within the boundary of the District in Harris County. Major items of work in the project include Providing and installing natural gas generators at each site, rehabilitation of the wet wells, and replacement of piping and electrical components All bids must be submitted with a Bid Bond, signed by the surety and the Bidder, a Cashiers Check or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or minor defects in bidding and accept any bid deemed advantageous to the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days following the bid opening. All bids received after the date and time of the bid opening as described above will be rejected and returned to the Bidder unopened. The successful Bidder will be required to provide bonds in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Pursuant to Texas Government Code 2252.908 and the rules promulgated thereunder by the Texas Ethics Commission (TEC), the Owner may not formally accept a bid until it has received a completed TEC Form 1295 complete with notarized signature and a Certificate of Filing number assigned by the TEC. Contractor hereby also agrees to achieve Substantial Completion of the Work within 210 calendar days after the day of the written Notice to Proceed and to achieve Final Completion of the Work within 270 calendar days after the date of the written Notice to Proceed |
