SGL #336 Mine Scale Buildings Demolition Project

The Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) is soliciting electronic bids for the demolition of mine buildings and related structures at State Game Lands #336 in Shenango Township, Lawrence County. The scope of the project includes demolition of the steel frame storage building, scale house and scale at the site, disposal of the structure remains, disposal of interior items, removal of outdoor items, removal of concrete slabs and utility poles, abandoning the well and stabilizing the disturbed areas at the site. Any questions concerning completion of the electronic bid should be directed to PGC-Contracts and Procurement Division at 717-787-6594. Bidders should visit the site to ascertain the pertinent conditions such as access, site contours, proximity of utilities, structural characteristics of the buildings and vegetation in the work area. This phone number is for the PGC Lawrence County maintenance building outside New Castle. The personnel that operate out of this building are frequently in the field; please leave a message and your call will be returned. The project area may not be open to public travel. The gates at the ends of the road may be locked. Permission is not required to visit the site; however, we recommend contacting Mr. Beale or Mr. Dehass for status of road conditions before going to the site. Attached to the electronic project listing are Terms and Conditions of Project, Conditions for Construction Contracts and Technical Specifications (Sections 1 through 8). Two drawings titled "Mine Buildings Demolition Project" are attached also. These enclosures are part of the bid. All bids must be submitted electronically using the SRM system. A bid guarantee or bond is not required. The Commonwealth reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive technical defects in bids and to accept or reject any part of the bid deemed in the best interests of the Commonwealth. Except as otherwise provided by law, award will be made to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder. A Purchase Order will be generated at the time of award without further input from the successful bidder. Awarded vendor will be sent a copy of this document and no work will be authorized until the vendor is in receipt of the Purchase Order. All vendors who conduct business with the Pennsylvania Game Commission must have a Vendor No. assigned to them in order to receive payment from the Commonwealth.
