Environmental Shade Structure for Recreation Area at Alonzo "Babe" James Community Center

General contractor to procure and install (2) shade structures for the Alonzo “Babe” James Playground and Splash Park Seatwall from Shade Systems. Overall Scope of work: Seeking a general contractor to procure and install (2) shade structures for the Alonzo “Babe” James Playground and Splash Park Seatwall from Shade Systems. This project is federally funded and the awarded contractor will be required to abide by specific grant requirements. Shade System (#1): Shade for Splash Park Seatwall: Update current engineering plans (to current 2020 building code) from Shade Systems (Previous version of plans are included as attachment) The concrete foundations for the shade system above the splash park seatwall have already been constructed and include anchor bolts for column attachment (installed 2020). The remaining scope of work to complete this system (once engineering plans are updated is to; secure a new building permit, procure and install the remaining column and canopy structure and shade canopy. Shade System (#2): Shade for Playground: The shade structure over the playground area will require acquisition of complete engineering plans, a building permit, procurement with installation of the entire system (no work has been performed for this component). Conceptual layout (plans not for construction) of this system is attached for reference and consideration.
