Description | 76021003.00 Project Description: The project includes the demolition and removal of two existing air handling units, some existing ductwork, and existing chiller and chilled water piping and associated electrical connections. A new VRF system will be installed on the north half of the building for heating and cooling of the building with new VRF dedicated outside air unit and associated ductwork for ventilation of the building. Existing baseboard radiators will be retrofitted with thermostatic control valves. New electrical will be installed for powering of new HVAC components. Scope also includes architectural work for cutting and pathing of building components in support of new HVAC equipment installation. Add Alternate #1 will include demolition and removal of three heating hot water pumps and associate heating hot water piping. A new boiler with new heating hot water pumps and associated piping components will be installed and the existing heating hot water system with baseboard radiators will continue to be used as supplemental heat. Add Alternate #1 will include new temperature controls for new HVAC equipment. The Principal Representative has determined that the entire project shall be substantially complete within 200 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, and the project shall be finally complete, including the delivery of any or all guarantees and warranties, the submittal of sales and use tax payment forms, the completion of the final punch list and the calling for final inspection, within 30 calendar days, if applicable, from the date of substantial completion. In accordance with Article 46 of the General Conditions of the Contract, Time of Completion and Liquidated Damages, failure to complete the work within the agreed number of calendar days shall be considered breach of contract and subject the bidder to liquidated damages to the extent specified in Article 7D of the Contractor's Agreement Design/Bid/Build (SC-6.21). Per C.R.S. 24-105-201 If the construction value is $50,000 or greater a Bid Bond and Power of Attorney or Proposal Guaranty is required in an amount not less than 5% of the total Bid. The right is reserved to waive informalities or irregularities and to reject any and all Bids. Preference shall be given to Colorado resident bidders and for Colorado labor, as provided by law. The Bidder promises, in submitting his Bid, that if issued a Notice of Award, he will, within the prescribed time, execute the required Agreement, furnish any required Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, Insurance Policy and Certificates of Insurance, or forfeit his Bid Guaranty as Liquidated Damages. Bid Preference shall be applied per 8-19-104 C.R.S. and Procurement Rule R24-111-102-02(c). A comparable percentage disadvantage will be applied to the bid of Nonresident bidders from a state that provides a percentage bidding preference to bidders from that state.
