Description | Dams/Reservoirs, Irrigation, Concrete/Formed/Flatwork/Foundation The project consists of the replacement of the Mendenhall Ditch's existing concrete irrigation intake structure with a new reinforced concrete structure and headgates, construction of a temporary cofferdam, salvage and placement of existing arched CMP pipes, construction of a new concrete tail wall structure, salvage and placement of riprap, site grading, revegetation, and all other work as described and shown on the Drawings. Bid alternates include a steel ramp flume installation and the replacement of a 181 feet long drop structure consisting of 24-inch diameter steel pipe. The sealed envelope containing the Bid shall have the following information disclosed on the outside of the envelope: 1. Write the words "Sealed Bid Enclosed" and below it, write the name of the project. 2. Name of person, firm or corporation submitting the Bid, and the address of the bidder placed in the top left corner of the envelope. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and/or unit price basis, with additive alternative bids items, if necessary, as indicated in the Bid Form. Checks for bidding documents shall be payable to WWC Engineering. Upon request and receipt of the nonrefundable document deposit indicated above plus a non-refundable shipping charge, the Issuing Office will transmit the Bidding Documents via delivery service. The prospective Bidder may indicate their method of shipping, if necessary. All shipping charges will be marked up 15%. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither the Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid Bond: 10% Performance Bond: 100% Payment Bond: 100% Davis Bacon Act Requirement: Yes Milestone 1 - Substantial completion of all work for the project that would allow irrigation water to be safely and efficiently conveyed through the irrigation intake structure to be operational for the 2023 irrigation season. This Milestone shall be completed on or before April 28, 2023. Liquidated Damages Substantial Completion: Contractor shall pay Owner $[500] for each day that expires after the time (as duly adjusted pursuant to the Contract) specified above for Substantial Completion, until the Work is substantially complete. |
