Y--Demolish Buildings 10 & 11

Demolish Buildings 10 & 11 for Project #538-11-125, at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center: Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, materials and equipment to professionally accomplish the demolition of Buildings 10 & 11 and expand the adjacent surface parking lot. Buildings 10 & 11 are constructed of reinforced concrete frames with concrete floor slabs, masonry perimeter walls, and pitched roofs. Interior partitions in these buildings include a mixture of gypsum board on metal studs and plaster with wire mesh on structural clay tiles. Work in this project includes (but is not limited to): Asbestos abatement in the subject buildings; Isolation of the buildings from all utility connections; Demolition of two separate buildings, including removal of all debris for off-site disposal; Exterior site preparation, grading, and modifications to buried utilities; Placement of new concrete curbs and sidewalks; Installation of a new storm sewer catch basin and piping; Construction of new asphalt pavement parking area with markings; and Installation of new parking lot site lighting.
