Description

Demolition of residential home Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The project site is located at 24 Misty Meadows located in Chelmsford, MA located off Pine Hill Road. The scope of work comprises of: 1. Mobilization and Demobilization. 2. Providing all equipment and manpower required. 3. Demolishing a residential ranch style home which is approximately 75 feet by 35 feet. 4. Hammer and demolish foundation and floor. 5. Disconnect and cap existing water and sewer lines. The water line goes to an onsite bedrock well and the sewer is Title 5 system. 6. Remove and dispose of existing oil tank and any residual contents in the tank. 7. Dumpster and all associated with equipment necessary to remove and dispose of all house material. Foundation concrete and chimney material can remain. The District will fill in the whole with material owned by the District. Remaining materials must be legally disposed of by the contractor. 8. District has performed initial testing and has determined areas with asbestos cement (AC). The District will abate the AC in the house prior to the contractor performing demolition services. 9. The District will file permit(s) with building department. Contract shall not start work until such permit is obtained and copy provided to the contractor.
