US Route 202 Reconstruction

The US Route 202 Reconstruction Project (NHDOT No. 14772A; Federal No. X-A000(535)) consists of replacing approximately 180` of an existing retaining wall with a king pile and sheeting retaining wall with mortar squared stone facing, stabilizing approximately 205` of existing boulder retaining wall with micropiles and grout injection, and reconstructing approximately 55` of existing boulder retaining wall. The work also includes reconstructing a portion of the Transcript Dam spillway and removing and reconstructing the eastern Transcript Dam abutment. The roadway work consists of reconstructing 600` of US Route 202, including approximately 250` of realignment, a new sidewalk along the east side of the roadway, midblock crosswalks with rectangular rapid flashing beacons and lighting, and implementation of a temporary traffic control plan. The roadway approach work will be limited to approximately 200` to the south and 100` north of the roadway reconstruction limits. The anticipated project schedule is to start construction on or about February 1, 2020 and complete construction on or about June 1, 2022.
