Description

As of August 18, 2022. The project has not yet awarded. Contractor License: Any Contractor submitting a bid must be a pre-qualified Georgia Department of Transportation Contractor. License numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. No bid will be opened unless the license number is clearly shown. See Instructions to Bidders for additional bidding requirements. Work to Be Done: The work to be done shall consist of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Old Ocilla Road Turn Lane Modifications and Bowen Road Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction for Old Ocilla Road Turn Lane Modifications consists of excavation and replacement of +/- 600 S.Y. of travel lane replacement to include curb & gutter, drainage structures, structural fill, Geotech fabric, base and pavement. and all associated measures for the completion of the project. For the Bowen Road Pavement Improvements, construction shall consist of 0.5 miles of pavement surfacing over existing graded aggregate base course to include prime coat, +/- 730 tons of asphalt and pavement marking. This work will be awarded in one (1) contract with a 180 consecutive calendar day construction schedule. Bonds: All bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder, if awarded the Contract, will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount. All bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current Circular 570 Listing. Funding: Any Contract or Contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids will be funded by a grant from the Local Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST), or Local Maintenance & Improvement Grant (LMIG). The Owner, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
