HMA Pavement - State Projects

US 12 pavement repair over box culvert 1750 feet east of CTH KP – Town of Roxbury This project is to place HMA pavement as indicated below for pavement repair Replace pavement at the box culvert on US 12 approximately 1750 feet east of CTH KP in NW Dane Co. and as shown on the attached drawing. The damaged concrete pavement will be sawcut and removed by Dane County Highway, and base course material will be added, compacted and prepped for asphalt. Contractor will be responsible for providing and placing approximately 6 inches (234 tons) of HMA 4 MT 58-28 S in 3 equal lifts. The combined area of the 4 rectangles is approx. 706 SY. Dane County Highway will be responsible for traffic control. The work will need to take place during the daytime and be completed in 1 day, or the work area filled in to ensure no > 2” drop-offs overnight. US 18/151 pavement repair for WB off ramp to CTH PB – City of Verona This project is to place HMA pavement as indicated below for pavement repair: Overlay thin (1/2”) layer of HMA 5 LT (“skinny mix”) with specs as shown in attachment on the WB exit ramp from US 18/151 to CTH PB near Verona. The area to be repaired is approximately 340’ by 24’ (907 SY to be marked by Dane Co. Highway) and will require approximately 35 tons of HMA. Contractor is also responsible for prep work and traffic control, which will require nighttime full closures. H 39 SB to IH 94 EB ramp over CTH T (B-13-450) pavement repair – City of Madison This project is to place HMA pavement as indicated below for pavement repair: Mill 2” from both ends of the bridge, both lanes and both shoulders, one lane at a time and 75 feet long on each side. Dane Co. Highway will mark areas. Contractor will be responsible for providing and placing approximately 2 inches (73 tons) of HMA 4 MT 58-28 H. The combined area of both ends of the bridge is approx. 635 SY. The Contractor will also be responsible for traffic control. Daytime work is allowed morning1 – 2 pm M-F, one lane at a time.
