Fort Hood is located near Killeen, Texas and consists of approximately 218,823 acres and 5,838 buildings. The on post population consists of approximately 65,000 military, Government civilians, Contactor personnel, and resident family members. Fort Hood supports an overall population of nearly 500,000, to include retirees, off post family members, and survivors. |
