Description

For Emergency Egress Stair Replacement - Board of Education Building: 290 Greenwich Ave., Greenwich, CT The Town of Greenwich is approximately 30 miles northeast of New York City and has a population of about 62,000 residents. The Greenwich Public Schools enjoy a national reputation for excellence and have strong support from the community. The fifteen public schools have an enrollment of 9,000 students and consists of eleven elementary schools (K-5), the middle schools (6-8), and one comprehensive high school (9- 12). Scope- This project consists of renovations at the above listed school, including but not limited to Replacement of existing exterior emergency egress stair with new The Greenwich Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all responses not deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Greenwich. Each also reserves the right to waive any informalities in or reject any or all bids or any part of any bid. Each bid must be submitted with one (1) original copy/set, and five (5) copies/sets and one (1) electronic copy (via flash USB drive) of the bid. Bidders must submit bids in a clear, concise and legible manner so as to permit proper evaluation of responsive bids. Faxed bids will not be accepted. The original bid and copies must be in a sealed envelope plainly marked: Emergency Egress Stair Replacement Bid Opening Date: February 2, 2023 Opening Time: 11:00 a.m. Bid Number: 2403-23 Bidders are urged to read all documents carefully and fill out all information requested. Bids which are incomplete, obscure, or conditional, and which contain irregularities of any kind, will be subject to rejection for failure to comply strictly with these conditions. Questions concerning this bid will be received by email only and directed to: a. bid_department@greenwich.k12.ct.us. In the subject line you must put BID 2403-23, Emergency Egress Stair Replacements - (BOE). All questions must be submitted no later than noon on January 24, 2023 All answers to bidder's questions will be provided by written BID ADDENDUM by noon on January 27, 2023. It is the responsibility of all bidders to check www.greenwichschools.org for all current addenda up to 48 hours before the bid is due. Each bid shall be signed and accompanied by a bid security payable to the Town of Greenwich in the amount of ten (10%) of the bid and shall be in the form of a Bid Bond only as issued in the bid documents. Bid Bonds must use the Greenwich Public Schools Bid Bond Form (included within the bid documents), issued by a surety company listed on the current U.S. Dept of Treasury's Federal Register and be licensed to underwrite bonds in the State of Connecticut. No Bidder may withdraw their Bid within 90 days after the actual date of Bid Opening.
