Description

Pavement Overlay- The work under this contract consists of furnishing and installing a total of 2,104 tons +/- of Type 1-1 bituminous concrete in place, Payment- Payment made shall be full compensation for furnishing and installing by machine method to a compacted thickness of 1.5 " (in place). Including in this payment shall be priming of existing pavement tack coat, and necessary leveling courses where deemed necessary by the Director of Public Works. The application rate for the tack coat is normally .05 to .15gallons/SY. Also included in this payment shall be hand work at intersections, butt joints, filling of depressions, and sealing at edges and around structures, and any uniformed police officers required to control traffic. In addition, all traffic control, signing and all incidentals thereto, for which payment is not provided under other items or as directed by the Salisbury Department of Public Works.
