Description

Interest from qualified firms and individuals interested in providing professional engineering and land surveying services. The major outcome of this project is the development of a comprehensive GPS digital inventory of existing storm water infrastructure features which convey flow into Mobile Bay. Completion of these activities will result in generation of a comprehensive GIS map database, provide data facilitating further studies and watershed modeling, and provide a clearer understanding of the physical dynamics of the City’s stormwater network. 1. Review existing GIS/GPS Pilot Project submittals. 2. Data collection throughout the City of Mobile, City of Prichard, and City of Chickasaw storm water features: inlets, manholes, cleanouts, major outfalls and connected pipes. 3. Utilize RTK GPS surveying and conventional surveying techniques to garner horizontal accuracy of +0.1’ and vertical accuracy of 0.2’ 4. Note: Debris removal is not within scope of work. 5. Review “Attachment D” for field collection and data management. 6. Review “Attachment E” for area map and estimated feature quantities. 7. Regulatory compliance and correspondence. 8. Participate with the City in responding to the Gulf Coast Restoration Council and ADCNR requirements and inquiries. 9. Identify project design needs and requirements. Identify project impacts to the neighboring areas (short and long term). 10.Assist the City with coordinating communications regarding program activities, as deemed appropriate and as directed by the City, with stakeholders, respective organizations and government agencies regarding compliance, project implementation monitoring, and adaptive management. 11.Assist the City with development, coordination, and implementation of meaningful and broad-based public engagement and outreach efforts.
